Welcome to my 365 project

Inspired by a group of people, I have decided to create my own 365 blog. In this blog, I shall attempt to post a photo a day which will hopefully give a little insight into what I've been up to. While I hope to be able to share this with all of you, this is also a photographic journal.

Each day is a new dawn, and here's hoping that in 2009, each day will be a new fine dawn.

DAY FORTY-SEVEN

The kitchen looked so shiny and clean today, thanks to Taro, and he was home to help look after Joshua, so I thought I'd bake a cake.
Here's the recipe to my Mum's yummy apple cake:
*125gr butter
*125gr sugar
* 3 eggs
* zest and juice of 1x lemon
* 200gr flour

* 4 tsp baking powder
* 3 soup spoons milk

* 5-6 apples cored, peeled and sliced

* cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle over the top

Combine all the ingredients 1 at a time, except for the apples and cinnamon mixture. Put the mixture into a baking tray that has been greased and floured. Decorate with the sliced apples and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Put it in a pre-heated oven to medium heat for 1hr.

Enjoy :-D

DAY FORTY-SIX

Joshua's new car seat arrived today. I hardly took it out of the box and Joshua had already jumped in. That is why we hardly ever buy Joshua any toys. He's just so happy playing with boxes and wrapping paper instead!

DAY FORTY-FIVE

Taro worked from home today which was lovely and Joshua really loves it when we are both together.
This is Joshua playing out in the back and checking in on his Mummy to see what I was up to - enjoying a coffee and de-stressing.

On a not so happy note, I took the car out this morning again and found out that I can't park the car in a car park. I managed to park it on a BMW! Oooops... Nothing too bad and the BMW seemed fine, but it certainly was enough to make me panic.

DAY FORTY-FOUR

I took my car out for a little drive for the first time today since bringing it home. I took Joshua along and planned on going on a max 10minute drive to a shop to have a look at a new car seat for Joshua. Where I live is surrounded by big roundabouts and I managed to take a wrong turn. Somehow I ended up at Mothercare World - about 20mins away, but more like 40mins later as I got lost on the way. Many stops to check the map and many one way roads and wrong turns later, I finally made it home - 2hrs after having left! It was awful, a nightmare, but probably great experience in terms of driving and getting to know the area better. Needless to say, I needed wine when I got home. Taro read my thoughts and arrived home super early with a bottle :-)
I love my man!

DAY FORTY-THREE

Another miserable day in London with some rain and heavy winds, so we stayed home. My brother is still staying with us, so my sister and niece came over too and we had another karaoke session. I'm completely tone deaf and unless the lyrics are in front of me, I'll just make up my own - but absolutely love to sing!!!

DAY FORTY-TWO

I have a car! Taro and I went to pick it up this morning, leaving Joshua with my brother John for the first time. Surprisingly they were both fine! I survived too, thanks to Taro being such an amazing co-pilot.

DAY FORTY-ONE

All we did today was take it easy. We watched some TV, played some games, played some Singstar whilst my brother played his guitar.
My sister's family came over and the children had fun playing in the back garden and sitting on each other's laps randomly.
