DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO

Today we babysat Sophie all afternoon! It's the first time we looked after Sophie for that long, and the first time Becky and Simon got to go out together for a meal and a film since Sophie was born. We had a great time and the kids were both so well behaved and seemed to have fun the whole time!

DAY SEVENTY-THREE

Joshua and I, along with Becky and Sophie went to Snakes and Ladders. It's an indoor play area for children and has a special area for babies and toddlers with lots of slides, ball pits, cars, etc, all very well padded. The kids had lots of fun and were both fast asleep in the car on the way home, even though the ride was just about 15mins long.

DAY SEVENTY-TWO

I was hoping to put Joshua down for his morning nap, but he had other ideas. He drag his push chair over to me, then picked up my handbag and brought me his shoes. I got the hint! I knew his cousin was at the green nearby, so I took him over and he ran away with Sophie. They are so cute together.

DAY SEVENTY-ONE

Poor Sophie rolled down the stairs today. She was absolutely fine and just had a little grazing on her nose and cheek. She was happily playing soon after.

DAY THIRTY-SIX

This is what occasionally awaits us after Joshua has gone to bed. It was already bad when he was on his own, but then Sophie came over and things got a lot worse. I try to hopefully encourage him to put his toys away by putting them all away with him before he goes to bed, but today there was just no energy left in me to tidy it, so Taro has cleared most of it now.

DAY THIRTY

This is Sophie. She's Joshua's cousin and best friend. They are both always very excited when they see each other or just hear each other's names.
They are only one month apart in age and we all think it's great that they are growing up so close together.
